Barb first went to France in 1975 with her Fine Arts class from the University of Waterloo. Professor Virgil Burnett led the class on a drawing tour of Paris and the ancient village of Flavigney. There Barb developed her love of drawing street scenes, bucolic landscapes and architectural monuments. Barb returned to France several times to tour draw and meet with other artists. Her favorite piece was not surprisingly “Painting the Cathedral” a view of Notre Dame de Paris from the River Seine bank.
